INSURANCE COVERAGE

Do you have extended health benefits with a private insurance provider, such as GreenShield, Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, Sunlife, or Canada Life (formerly Canada Life, Great-West Life and London Life Insurance)? If so, you may be eligible to have some/all of your counselling fees covered!

  • Contact your HR department/insurance plan administrator and inquire about your insurance policy coverage for Registered Clinical Counsellor Fees

  • Ask more questions! What is the annual maximum for counselling expenses? Is there a deductible? Is coverage based on a dollar amount or a percentage of each visit?

While the majority of extended health benefits packages recognize Registered Clinical Counsellors as eligible service providers, it is important to double check with your own provider about your plan, as every insurance plan is different. The amount or percentage that is covered is also dependent on the specific package that you and/or your employer has selected from the insurance provider.

Please note, third-party direct billing is not offered at this time. Clients who are policyholders with eligible insurance coverage must submit their receipts directly to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
